Raised in New Zealand and growing up with Japanese influences thanks to her grandparents from Okinawa, Amy has always had one foot in Japan. After graduating from university, this kiwi decided to follow her dreams and live in Japan with the goal to immerse herself in the culture and learn more the country that she had heard so much from her family. Amy enjoys visiting local shrines and temples for their exciting festivals and events, sipping sake and hiking. She hopes to share her enthusiasm and knowledge about Japanese culture and shed a spotlight into incredible yet often overlooked local scenes.
