Hankyu Corporation (阪急電鉄株式会社) operates trains in the northern Kansai regions.

It operates three routes that connect Osaka with three different surrounding cities, Kobe, Kyoto and Takarazuka. The starting station from all three routes is Hankyu Umeda Station. One cannot use Japan Rail Pass for Hankyu-operated lines.

Kobe Main Line (神戸本線)– Kobe Main Line connects Umeda Station in Osaka with Sannomiya Station in Kobe. Itami Line is a branch of Kobe Main Line. It starts at Tsukaguchi Station (HK-06) in Hyogo Prefecture and terminates in Itami Station in Hyogo Prefecture. Imazu Line is another branch of Kobe Main Line. It starts at Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi Station (HK-08). It has a North section line which terminates at Imazu Station in Hyogo Prefecture and a South section line which terminates at Takarazuka Station in Hyogo Prefecture. Koyo Line is another branch of Kobe Main Line. It starts at Shukugawa Station (HK-09) and terminates at Koyoen Station in Hyogo Prefecture.

Senri Line (阪急千里線)– Senri Line is a route that starts at Tenjinbashisuji 6-chome Station (K11) of Osaka Metro’s Sakaisuji Line and terminates at Kita-Senri Station (HK95). You can transfer to Hankyu Kyoto Line at Awaji Station (HK63).
